ABOUT US
Static Line Brewing Company is the embodiment of a dedication to craft beer which was ignited over twenty years ago. Founder and President, Steven Khoo, was first introduced to the idea of delicately curated craft beers on a trip to Colorado in 1997. Shortly afterward, he serendipitously fell into the hobby of homebrewing which would eventually become a passion. As all homebrewers do, he dreamed of one day taking his brewery out of the garage and his taproom out of the kitchen and making that passion available to the public. The seed for Static Line had been planted.
In 2009, he met Michelle Bowers who quickly became not only his partner in life, but also in the brewery. Soon, she too was hooked on the wide variety of styles and unique twists that craft brewing offered. Together, they would continue to hone their craft of brewing and expand their base of recipes and offerings. Friends and family alike encouraged their pursuit, and that long-ago planted seed began to blossom.
During Steven’s time on Active Duty with the Army, he continued to pursue craft brewing as both an art and a science. Through years of experimentation, he developed a wide variety of different beers – often putting a unique twist on traditional styles while also trying to stay true to certain traditional profiles and techniques. The result has been a diverse spectrum of offerings, many of which are often highly anticipated upon their “release.”
As the technical aspects of brewing solidified, and as the variety and quality improved, these advancements did not go unnoticed by those around him. With the encouragement of these faithful friends, and with generous support from his family, the burgeoning idea of Static Line Brewing Company was further nourished. The dream of commercial brewing was fast becoming a reality. During his final years on active duty, he and Michelle began laying the foundation for Static Line.
Now, here we are on the final leg of that journey which began over two decades ago. We are excited to bring our offering of fresh, hand-crafted beer to you. Our vision is to create a space to connect with our community on an intimate level. A fundamental goal is to foster relationships which will be beneficial to all and to develop ties with local businesses to bring about symbiotic growth. Familiarity, consistency, and especially quality are our cornerstones. We look forward to working with our peers, raising a glass with our customers, and sharing our passion for the boundless opportunities that this pursuit will bring to bear.
